Structured ALE solver was started by Dr. Hao Chen at early 2015, and debutted in LS-DYNA China Conference later that year.


It is to solve multiple fluids flowing in a logically regular hexadron mesh and interacting with Lagrange structures. Typical applications include: Structure Under Explosion; Fuel Tank Sloshing; Bird Striking.


The solver aims to handle large engineering problems. It is able to run on thousands of cores and handle several hundred millions of elements.


It is under active development. New features will keep coming include its own fluid-structure interaction module.
